Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and OneTaskList Pty Ltd for using OneTaskList. Please read them; the short version is below. They come in English and German, and both versions are equally binding.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

0. The short version

Who you contract with: OneTaskList Pty Ltd, an Australian company.

Plans: Free stays free. Paid plans are billed monthly and renew until you cancel. Cancel in the app at any time.

Changed your mind? EU and UK consumers can withdraw within 14 days of buying and get a full refund.

Your content stays yours. Export it whenever you like. We never use it to train AI.

Our liability is limited, except where the law says it can’t be.

Victorian law applies, but your own country’s consumer law still protects you.

1. Who we are and who these terms are for

OneTaskList is provided by OneTaskList Pty Ltd (ACN 698 036 798), Level 15, 461 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia (“we”, “us”). Email: legal@onetasklist.com. Our legal notice (Impressum) is at onetasklist.com/impressum.

  • You must be 16 or over to use OneTaskList.
  • If you sign up for a company or other organisation, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes it.
  • These terms apply to consumers and business users alike. Where a section applies to only one, it says so. A “consumer” is someone using OneTaskList mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
  • If your organisation has signed an Enterprise agreement with us, that agreement takes priority over these terms where they differ.
  • OneTaskList isn’t offered in China or in countries under Australian, EU, UK or US sanctions, and you may not use it there.

2. How the contract is made

  • Free plan: the contract starts when you create your account by signing in with Microsoft, Google or GitHub and accepting these terms.
  • Paid plans: in the app you choose a plan, check the price (including tax) and your details, and can correct any mistakes before ordering. The contract is made when you press the button marked “[Subscribe and pay]” and we confirm your order by email.
  • We store these terms and send them to you with the order confirmation. The current version is always at onetasklist.com/terms. The contract languages are English and German.

3. Your account

  • You sign in with your Microsoft, Google or GitHub account. Keep that account secure: anyone who can sign in to it can use your OneTaskList account.
  • An account is for one person. Don’t share it.
  • Tell us straight away at legal@onetasklist.com if you think someone else is using your account.
  • We may block a sign-in that looks unsafe.

4. The service

  • OneTaskList collects the tasks from the tools you connect onto boards you can sort and act on. What each plan includes is on the pricing page.
  • Tools you connect: your use of them stays under their own terms. OneTaskList depends on their interfaces, so a change on their side can stop a connection working. We fix what we can, but we can’t promise every tool will keep working.
  • Changes in your tools: when you mark a task done, move it or create one, we make that change in the tool, because you asked us to.
  • AI features: these work only with your own key for an AI provider you choose, under that provider’s terms. AI can be wrong: check its output before you rely on it.
  • MCP access: an AI app you connect to OneTaskList acts as you, and can read and change your tasks until you revoke its access in that app.

5. Plans, trials and prices

PlanPriceWhat happens
FreeNothingNo time limit.
StarterUS$3 a monthBilled monthly.
ProUS$5 a monthBilled monthly.
EnterpriseBy agreementUnder a separate Enterprise agreement.
  • Trying a paid plan: you can try a paid plan free for 14 days, with no card, once per account. When the trial ends you go back to Free and pay nothing, unless you choose to subscribe.
  • Professional tools: each professional tool, such as Jira or Azure DevOps, comes with a 30-day trial on the Free plan, once per tool per account.
  • Tax: consumers see the total price, including VAT or GST, in their own currency before they pay. Business prices may be shown before tax.
  • Price changes: we tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you don’t want to pay it, you can cancel before it starts.

6. Paying

  • Payments are taken by [Stripe, or a merchant of record that resells the plan].
  • Paid plans are charged monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel. We say so next to the order button.
  • If a payment fails, we tell you. If it still hasn’t gone through after [7] days, your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted.
  • Invoices and receipts are available in the app.

7. Cancelling

  • Cancel at any time with the Cancel subscription button in Account settings. You don’t have to sign in again or contact us.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you’ve paid for. You keep the paid plan until then.
  • We don’t refund part-months, except under section 8 or where the law requires it.
  • After cancelling you stay on Free with your data, or you can delete your account.

8. Your right to withdraw (EU and UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have the right to withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14 days start on the day the contract is made.

To withdraw, tell us clearly, for example by email to legal@onetasklist.com, or by post to OneTaskList Pty Ltd, Level 15, 461 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia. You can use the model withdrawal form in the annex, but you don’t have to. It’s enough to send your message before the 14 days end.

Effects of withdrawal: we refund everything you paid for the plan, even if you asked the plan to start straight away. We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we hear from you, using the same payment method you used, unless you agree otherwise. You won’t pay any fees for the refund.

9. Your content

  • Your tasks, boards and settings stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process them only as needed to run OneTaskList for you. We never use them to train AI models.
  • You confirm you’re allowed to connect the accounts and data you connect.
  • You can export your data at any time from Account settings. When your account ends, we delete your data as our privacy policy describes.

10. Acceptable use

Don’t use OneTaskList to:

  • store or share anything illegal, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • attack, overload, scrape or test the security of OneTaskList or the tools you connect without our written permission;
  • spread malware;
  • resell OneTaskList, share an account, or get round plan limits;
  • reverse engineer OneTaskList, except where the law allows it;
  • break the terms of the tools you connect.

If you do, we may remove the content concerned or suspend your account under section 14. We decide on the facts, treat everyone the same, and tell you why.

11. Reporting illegal content

  • If you think content on OneTaskList is illegal, report it to [legal@onetasklist.com], saying where it is and why you think it’s illegal.
  • We look at each report promptly, carefully and objectively, tell the person who reported it what we decided, and tell the affected user why we acted.
  • [legal@onetasklist.com] is also our single point of contact for authorities and users under the EU Digital Services Act. We use English and German.

12. Availability and changes to the service

  • We work to keep OneTaskList available, but Free, Starter and Pro come with no uptime guarantee. We may need to pause it for maintenance, usually with notice. Enterprise service levels are in the Enterprise agreement.
  • We may change, add or remove features to improve OneTaskList, keep it secure, or follow the law or a change in a connected tool.
  • Consumers: if a change makes OneTaskList noticeably worse for you, we tell you clearly in advance. You can then end your contract free of charge within 30 days, and we refund the part of the month you’ve paid for but won’t use.

13. Changes to these terms

  • We tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before a change to these terms takes effect, and say what changes.
  • If you don’t agree, you can cancel or close your account before the change applies. We don’t treat staying silent or carrying on using OneTaskList as your agreement to a change that affects you significantly.
  • Small changes that don’t affect you, like corrections, can take effect straight away.

14. Suspending or closing accounts

  • We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, a security risk, unpaid fees, or because the law requires it. We give notice and a chance to fix the problem first, unless that would be unsafe or unlawful.
  • Inactive Free accounts: if you don’t sign in for 2 years, we warn you by email and close the account 30 days later unless you sign in.
  • When an account closes, your data is deleted as our privacy policy describes. Boards you share with others stay with them.
  • You can close your account at any time in Account settings.

16. Limits on our liability

  • Our total liability to you for all claims about OneTaskList is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
  • Business users: we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data.
  • What we never limit: liability for death or personal injury, for intent or gross negligence, for fraud, under the Australian Consumer Law guarantees, or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

17. Indemnity (business users only)

If you are a business user, you cover our reasonable costs from claims by others caused by your content or your breach of these terms. This section doesn’t apply to consumers.

18. Law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have jurisdiction.
  • Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where they live, and can bring a claim in their own courts.
  • We don’t take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.

19. General

  • These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the Free, Starter and Pro plans.
  • We may transfer this contract to a company that takes over OneTaskList. We tell you first; consumers can then end the contract if they object.
  • If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
