Where your data lives
What sits in your region, what stays in our shared services, and what leaves.

Your region holds your work
You pick the Azure location when we scope your region, and everything you create in OneTaskList is stored there: boards, tasks, connections, the tokens for your connected tools, attachments, and logs and telemetry.
What leaves it
| Data | Where it is kept | Leaves your region? |
|---|---|---|
| Boards, tasks, connections, tool tokens and attachments | Your region’s SQL Database, Cosmos DB and Storage | No |
| Logs and telemetry | Your region’s Application Insights | No |
| Names, email addresses and sign-in methods | Shared sign-in service | Yes |
| Organisation, seats, sign-on settings and audit log | Shared sign-in service | Yes |
| Invoices | OneTaskList Pty Ltd, Australia | Yes |
| AI provider keys | Each person’s browser | Never reaches us |
Backups
Backups copy to Azure’s paired region. Where that pair is outside your country, we keep them in your region instead, so nothing crosses a border you did not agree to. Ask us during scoping and we will confirm the pair for the location you chose.
Your people use one address
Everyone opens OneTaskList at the usual address. The shared front door signs them in and sends them to your region; it keeps no customer data of its own. There is no separate URL for your region, and a custom domain is not available.
